During Ally's brave journey and hard-fought battle, her story received a lot of positive media attention.  This was even more so once the Kauffman Foundation launched The Ally Project, a way to partnership future educators with hospitalized children to tutor them, read to them and help them continue to learn even though they are not in a normal learning setting.  In fact, if you bump into people and start chatting about Ally, many say, "I've heard of Ally Baier!"  And it's never, "Isn't she the kid with glioblastoma cancer?"  It's "Isn't she the kid with the crazy socks?"  Regardless, she was well known and well loved by many.  Take a look at her journey through previous media coverage.
